Led high-power lamp bead is a kind of LED lamp bead. Compared with low-power LED lamp bead, led high-power lamp bead has higher power, brighter brightness and higher price. The rated current of low-power led beads is 20mA, and those with a rated current higher than 20mA can basically be counted as high power.
Precautions for heat dissipation of LED high-power lamp beads:
1. requirements for heat sink.
Appearance and material: if the sealing requirements of the finished product are not high, it can directly convection with the external air environment. It is recommended to use aluminum or copper fins with fins.
2. effective heat dissipation surface area:
For 1W high-power LED white light (other colors are basically the same), our company recommends that the total effective heat dissipation surface area of the heat sink be ≥ 50-60 cm2.
3. connection method:
When connecting the high-power LED aluminum base plate with the heat sink, please ensure that the two contact surfaces are flat and in good contact. In order to strengthen the bonding degree of the two contact surfaces, it is recommended to apply a layer of thermal conductive silicone grease (thermal conductivity of thermal conductive silicone grease ≥ 3.0w/m.k) on the bottom of the LED aluminum base plate or on the surface of the heat sink. The thermal conductive silicone grease shall be applied evenly and appropriately, and then pressed and fixed with screws.
